How to measure your waist at home

A simple tape measure often shows progress the scale misses. Here is how to measure consistently.

Your weight is one view of your body. Your waist is another, and it often changes when the scale does not.

What you need

A soft, non-stretch tape measure and a mirror. That is all.

Step by step

Keep it consistent

Why waist matters

If you are strength training, your weight may hold steady while you lose fat and build muscle. A smaller waist with a steady weight is real progress, even if the scale says nothing has changed.

Recording it in Evenly

Go to Body → Add a waist measurement. Evenly shows the change since you started and links it with your trend and training. Waist readings are never shared with linked apps unless you choose to.
